We are always looking for adults and children with cochlear implants to participate in our research. Users of cochlear implants from different manufacturers with different hearing configurations and experience are needed for various research projects. In addition, we need normal-hearing listeners to serve as a control group. Your dedication to research is critical to the development of better implant technology and is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to reach out to us for more details.

Students with a wide variety of backgrounds (e.g., audiology, neuroscience, engineering, and psychology) may find their interests in the multidisciplinary research field of cochlear implant. Research assistants in our lab are mainly from the ASU Speech and Hearing Science Ph.D. Progrm, Auditory and Language Neuroscience Master’s Program, and the Barrett Honors College of undergraduate students. Students may work on lab rotations, independent studies, applied projects, Honors theses, master’s theses, and Ph.D. dissertations in the lab. Please check out the application requirements of different academic programs and contact Dr. Luo if you have any questions.
